An unusual Yorkshire Potteries cow group, probably Mexborough, c. 1830. Modelled as a shepherd stood before a large cow, with his dog sat to the side. Set upon a shaped grassy mound base. Unusually, covered in a ‘treacle glaze’. Height – 13.5 cm, 5 1/4”. Length – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”. Depth – 8 cm, 3 1/8”. Condition – Repair to both cows ears. Otherwise in excellent condition.
