A large Staffordshire pottery ‘tree and well’ meat platter, ‘Windsor Castle’. c. 1830. Printed to the centre, with an extensive view of figures viewing a procession of horse drawn carriages, with military escort, before Windsor Castle. The border having vignettes of ruined buildings, amongst a ground of oak leaves and acorns. Printed title ‘Imperial Stone’, ‘Old England, Windsor Castle’ to the reverse. Length – 48.5 cm, 19 1/8”. Height – 40 cm, 15 3/4”. Depth – 5.5 cm, 2 1/4”. Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
