Vauxhall porcelain bowl, c. 1760. The small bowl hand painted in underglaze blue, with a Chinese style river landscape of a fisherman stood beneath a willow tree before pavilions, on an island. Boats float along the river before a further pavilion on an island, between which fly a ‘V’ formation of birds. The interior with a rim of blue scale decoration, around a rocky outcrop in a river. The bowl having a lightly wrythen appearance. Diameter – 12.7 cm, 5”. Height – 6 cm, 2 3/8”. Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
